Thirsk Museum Society
Thirsk Museum Society is an independent volunteer organisation which is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Museum. Members can take part in a variety of interesting activities:
- Identifying, cleaning and cataloguing items, and setting-up and dismantling displays.
- Acting as Reception Desk Stewards during the season (Easter to November).
- Working on renovation and repairs when the Museum is closed to the public.
- Supporting Museum functions and publicising the work of the Museum.
Members also enjoy unlimited access to the Museum during normal opening times and receive regular newsletters.

New members are always welcome. To support the annual programme of events and the Museum generally, members are asked to pay an annual subscription (currently £10.00 for one person and £18.00 for two members at the same address).
